Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of PriceCheck NG at https://pricecheckng.github.io/ (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who can use the Service
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract where you live. You are responsible for making sure that using a service like this is lawful in your country.
2. What the Service is
PriceCheck NG shows live cryptocurrency prices in US dollars and other currencies, lets you set price alerts and lets you track a simple portfolio that you enter yourself. We are not an exchange, broker, wallet, bank or financial adviser. We do not hold your funds or execute trades. Payments for the optional PriceCheck Plus plan are handled by a third-party payment provider (see section 10).
3. Not financial advice
Everything on the Service is for general information only. It is not investment, financial, tax or legal advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything. Crypto assets are volatile and you can lose all of your money. Do your own research and speak to a qualified professional before you make decisions.
4. Prices and data
Prices, charts, market data and currency conversions come from third-party sources and may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate. The price shown on PriceCheck NG can differ from the price on any exchange, and conversions to other currencies use exchange rates that may differ from the rate you would actually get. Coin names and logos belong to their owners.
5. Alerts
Alerts are provided on a best-effort basis. They can be delayed, missed or sent more than once because of network problems, third-party outages, device settings, or fast price movements. Do not depend on alerts for time-critical or high-value decisions. We limit the number of alerts per account, and the limits are higher on PriceCheck Plus. We may change those limits.
6. Your account
- You sign in with your Google account. Keep it secure, because you are responsible for activity on your PriceCheck NG account.
- One person, one account. Do not share your account or create accounts to get around limits or restrictions.
- You can delete your account at any time from the Account page.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law or use the Service for fraud or other illegal activity;
- attack, overload or interfere with the Service, or try to access data that is not yours;
- scrape, copy or resell our data at scale, or use bots or scripts to put heavy load on the Service;
- try to bypass limits, bans or security features, or get paid features without paying;
- send us wallet keys, seed phrases, passwords or other secrets.
8. Suspending or ending access
We may block alerts on an account, suspend it or ban it if we reasonably believe it breaks these terms, harms the Service or other users, or if the law requires. We may also change or stop any part of the Service at any time. A banned account may not be able to delete itself or re-register to avoid the restriction.
9. Third-party sites and referral links
The Service may link to third-party sites, including crypto exchanges. Some links may be referral links, and we may earn a commission if you sign up or trade through them, at no extra cost to you. A link is not an endorsement. We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for them. Check that any service is available and lawful in your country and read its terms before you use it.
10. PriceCheck Plus (paid plan)
Most of the Service is free. PriceCheck Plus is an optional paid plan that gives higher alert limits and extra features, such as portfolio value history and file downloads. The features and limits of each plan are shown in the app.
- How you pay. You pay once for a fixed period (for example one month, three months or one year) in cryptocurrency on the page of our payment provider, Cryptomus. The price is shown before you pay. It does not renew automatically.
- When Plus starts. Plus switches on after the payment provider confirms your payment in full. This usually takes a few minutes but can take longer. If you buy while Plus is already active, the new period is added after the current one.
- Send the right amount. You must pay the exact amount shown, in the coin and on the network shown, before the payment page expires. If you pay too little, too late or on the wrong network, your Plus may not switch on and we may not be able to recover the funds. If something goes wrong, email us with your payment details and we will try to help.
- Refunds. Crypto payments cannot be reversed. We do not give refunds for a Plus period that has started, except where the law requires it or where we made an error.
- When Plus ends. When your period ends, your account goes back to the free limits. Your data stays, but you may not be able to create new alerts above the free limits until you are under them.
- Changes. We may change prices, plans and features for future purchases. Changes do not affect a period you have already paid for. We may end Plus on an account, without a refund, if it seriously breaks these terms.
11. Our content and your content
The PriceCheck NG name, design and software belong to us or our licensors. You may use the Service for personal use. The alerts and portfolio entries you create stay yours, and you give us permission to store and process them to run the Service for you.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any data or alert will be accurate or on time.
13. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss of money, profits, data or opportunity, or for any indirect or consequential loss, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including losses from price errors, delayed or missed alerts, or decisions you make based on the Service. If we are found liable, our total liability to you will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (which may be zero) or USD 50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and your mandatory consumer rights where you live are not affected.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows the latest version. If you keep using the Service after a change, you accept the new terms. We will tell you in the app or by email about significant changes.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Nigeria have jurisdiction over disputes, except where the law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve any problem informally.
